Hi, my name’s Daryl Morgan. I’m product manager here at Bainbridge. Today I’m going to show you what’s in a sail repair kit. This is a 100mm slit cloth. Good for repairing sails. Various threads and needles Webbing Fiskars scissors, these are stainless steel so they wont rust in your kit. Professional sailmaker’s palm Some double sided tape. Some extra strong sticky tape. It’s 50 mm, polyester, 25 meter roll. Very good for everything. Some smaller webbing, good for sewing on slides. Some spikes, pins and miscellaneous rings. Purely for putting back clew corners and for holding the cloth while you’re trying to repair it. So, having a sail repair kit on board is a really handy thing to have. Purely because there’s enough items here for you to be able to do any on the water or on board sail repairs While you’re either racing round Cans or off on a passage for ocean kit This sail cloth tape here, it’s 10 meters long, it’s 8 ounces wide, it will fix batten pockets, it’ll sew the leech of a mainsail back on.

I would highly recommend that you always have a roll of polyester tape. This is so useful. You can fix anything and everything with this. Really highly recommend. Sharp pair of scissors because you’re going to need that. A palm, there are various styles, I’d recommend this one. It’s a proffesional palm but there are others with smaller buckles. And some mixed needles and thread. With that simple kit there youll be able to do a lot of repairs.
