Easy St Patrick’s Day Craft: Shamrock

Easy St Patrick’s Day Craft: Shamrock

Hi, this is Joelle Meijer. I will show you how to create a stained glass
cloverleaf with pieces of tissue paper. To make a stained glass cloverleaf, first draw your pattern on black construction
paper. You can cut with either an x-acto knife or
a pair of small scissors. Start by cutting inside the clover and then
cut out the outside of the cloverleaf. Take different shades of green tissue paper
and cut them into pieces. Cut a piece of waxed paper slightly larger
than the clover and place your black cloverleaf under the
waxed paper. The cloverleaf outline will be a guide that
tells you where to glue the pieces of tissue paper. You can glue the pieces of tissue paper with
diluted white glue or with Mod Podge. Now glue the pieces of tissue paper randomly
on the waxed paper with a paint brush. Make sure to exceed the required area so that
it will be easier to assemble later. When you are satisfied, let dry. When the tissue paper is dry, glue the black
clover on the collage of tissue paper. When the glue is dry, trim of any excess. You can use your project as is and tape it
on a window, for example. If you want to suspend the cloverleaf, cut
a second cloverleaf shape from black construction paper and glue it
on the back side of the waxed paper. This way, your work looks nice on both sides. Instead of cutting pieces of tissue paper,
you can also do the same project by tearing tissue paper into pieces. The result will be different but just as pretty!
It is up to you! To print the illustrated instructions and
