Christmas Pine Cone – 3D Acrylic Nail Art – Step By Step Nail Tutorial

Christmas Pine Cone – 3D Acrylic Nail Art – Step By Step Nail Tutorial

HI, I am Kirsty Meakin from Naio Nails, and
in this video I am gonna do some Christmas Nails, and we are going to make a pine cone
with little bits of snow on, to make it all festive. So first of all we are gonna prep the nail,
we are going to push back the cuticles and remove any non living tissue, i hear you asking
why, well why do we do that, well if you had watched all of my millions of videos then
you would know, and if you haven’t, I will tell you. It’s because if we don’t remove
that none living tissue, the product that we are going to put on which is Acrylic, will
lift and we don’t want that, I am just gonna remove the surface shine, from that nail,
I am gonna give that a wipe over, with gel residue
wipe off solution, it’s gonna get rid of all of that oil, and don’t forget that all of
the products that we will be using today will be in the description box below, and you can
buy all of that online, just press the link. I am gonna be using a sculpting form today,
to extend this nail out, Gonna pop the tab on the other side to give it double the strength,
give it a wiggle between my thumbs and we are going to be doing an Almond shaped nail,
once i am happy that it is straight i am gonna close the form, If you want to see a video
that shows you how to create an almond nail you can also click the link, if that is all
you want to see. NOw i am going to dehydrate the nail , with
the nail prep dehydrator, and then i am going to use the acid free primer, this is acid
free primer, i am gonna do two coats of that, i am gonna use warm beige and a little bit
of clear, And i have got High Speed Liquid in my dampen dish, because i am gonna work
quick, gonna start with clear and i am gonna pop this at the free edge and build out the
length with this bead, i will also just drag that over slightly, so i know that it is all
connected nicely, So i am just patting and pressing and pulling the product down into
the shape, and now i am going to use the warm beige on the nail plate, and i am gonna drag
that down over the top. and i am gonna build the rest of the structure with the clear.
i am doing this because there is going to be 3D art on top, you are not really going
to see the colour of the nail, however you will see the colour around the actual natural
nail, and i want a nice warm colour, so that is why i put warm beige on. So i have popped
the pinching tool on, what that is gonna do is it’s gonna curve the nail, So it is gonna
give it more strength, there is a video, just about all of this shabang, if you want to
have a little look, isn’t there, what’s it called, it’s called Nail Terminology, it’s
called nail Terminology. There it is, somewhere there, we talk about why we do this, it’s
gonna add pressure at the sides, it’s gonna force the nail, from being this shape, to
this shape, yeah, it’s gonna give it a lot more strength and it will also look nicer
because it will look nice and slim, if we only could just. Do that to ourselves, Imagine if we could get a pinching tool and
just go. I am gonna file this now, do some nice straight
side walls, sing the song,. I don’t wanna, it’s not final yet, i haven’t composed it
yet. or even started. (Singing) first we do the side walls, and then we’ll
do the cuticle area oh yes we do the cuticle area, and then we do the free edge. I am just gonna dust off the excess dust and
then i am gonna go over with a white block, just to buff, just gonna wipe over with some
acetone, which will melt the top surface, and make it even smoother, what i am gonna
do now, is to apply some mega gloss, it’s mega, mega glossy. nice thin layer, and all
of the 3D work will be done directly on top, to be honest with you it’s not something that
we necassarily really need at the end, but, by the end i mean the tip, because it will
be covered in 3D work, but we definitely need it towardsthe top, and there is no point me
just putting a little bit towards the top is there. i will just put it all over the
nail, it’s a lot easier. So that has been fully cured now,. why do i always open the
lid before i look at the colours name, Belgian Fountain, we will also need a pinching dowel,
So it;s like a , it’s not like a trumpet is it. More like a Straw. so if you haven’t got
one of these you might be able to use a straw. I am creating a Pine cone, i was gonna say
acorn like you said, it’s a pine cone, they come off pine trees don’t they. I think, Right
i am gonna start here, now you can see the reason why i have chosen this shape, because
it’s the same shape as the pine cone, just gonna make sure it goes from side to side,
and i am making sure it is even. Oh, i like it already, that’s only because i know what
it’s gonna be like. So you can see that it has lovely sparkles in, i didn’t want to just
use a normal brown, i wanted to use something with a bit of sparkle in, and now i am gonna
cut the shapes of the pine cone into the product, just using the edge, of the pinching dowel,
giving it a little wiggle, i am gonna add a little, is it a stalk, what is it it’;s
like a top knot thing. I don;’t know, what do they call it, the bit that is attached
to the tree, top knot, that gives it, that gives it life, is that where boys with top
knots come from, trees? that’s where they had their idea from, you know. These boys
that wear these top knot hair dos, they got them from there Acorns. Alright, I need strong man, Do you know any?
We’ll have to use Adam instead, can’t do it can you, ahhh, he’s done it, yes. Smidge of
the old white paint, I was going to put some fur on it, to make it fluffy, when i look
at it now, i think, nah, as adam would say, Nah, i am gonna dry brush it on, no we don’t
want it completely saturated, we just want a little bit of paint on there and then we
are gonna drag up just so it will look like there is a bit of snow, it’s beginning to
look a lot like Christmas, (Singing) I am gonna use some matte top coat. dryly,
i am just brushing this to seal that in. and we’ll pop that into the lamp, i am just gonna
use some of the gel residue wipe off solution, and i am gonna give that a little bit of a
wipe, just to taike off the sticky layer, now we are gonn use the 3D brush, i am gonna
put a bead of that down, and then i am gonna put a bead of this one down, i will tell you
what colours they are in a second, they are secondary green, this one, and rain forest.
I am gonna pull this into a holly leaf shape, Top and bottom first, does need to set up
a little smidge first, while i make this i am gonna tell you something, So holly when
you look at holly, it has like got them little spiky things hasn’t it., like we are gonna
do now, these bits that sort of jump out yeah, and if you look at holly towards the top of
a bush, you will notice that there are less spiky bits, so the ones towards the bottom
of the bush are really, spiky, and the ones towards the top, some of the haven’t even
got any on, Know why that is, Because things from the bottom eat. yes it’s tp protect it, to protect itself.
want me to tell you who told me that, Allysia No Cassidy No My Brother, my 40 years old brother. He was
telling the children at the time, i just too note you know, I am gonna make a couple of these A bit of clear acrylic and we are gonna put
these on, and then we got some corn for poppin. Then we are gonna put some little berries
on, Primary Red , Tiny bead, we need some itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.
you are really gonna get use done for copyright in this video, there’s been like 5 songs been
sang in it, I have got a little bit of brown paint on
my palette here, and i am just gonna add a bit of detail, into these gorgeous little
holly leaves, I am gonna get a little bit of yellow, the old yellow paint here, and
i am gonna mix a bit of white. I am just adding a little bit of highlight
in, with this soft yellow lemon, lemon, is that acrylic paint, this is acrylic paint
yeah. just wanna smudge a bit of it in the middle
here, just to add a little bit more depth, I have a bit of paint on the berry, This is
what you can do, if you get a bit of paint on something you don’;t want, if you get some
of the acrylic liquid and just brush it over that will fetch that off nice for you. Now iu am gonna use a little bit of the old
white, i dunno why i am talking like a scous, not a scouser, like a londoner, cockney, i
am talking like a cockney today, I dunno why. Am not very good at it., Right what i am gonna do now is on the berries,
we are gonna use a little bit of mega gloss, i want them shiny, i want them to look juicy
and shiny, ready to eat, don’t eat them, because i don’t think we are supposed to eat them.
I have got a little bit of mega gloss we are gonna drop that on to the berries, and we
are just gonna move it around, so it goes all over, That has flooded a little bit, i
am gonna take that excess off, and we are gonna bang that into the lamp, for a minute. Then i am gonna put some of the matte coat
onto the holly leaves, so i am just going over the Holly leaves, This will seal the
paint and i am gonna finishes that off with some
cutcile oi. So there you are, that is that one completely finished, so that is how you
make a pine cone, with some holly leaves and some gorgeous berries, something a little
bit different for christmas, you could use that on just a couple of nails, do it in a
full set, and it just makes it a little bit more festive for the christmas time, don’t
forget to subscribe to this channel, press the button, press the bell, and we will see
you in the next video. Bye bYe (Singing) I don;t know what the words are, Don’t sing anymore because we’ll have to pay
for rights There is gonna be no Rights singing it that
bad, yeah You never know, somebody might pay you to
stop singing.
