Chevron Nail Art Tutorial

Chevron Nail Art Tutorial

Hey everybody! In this video I am showing
you how to create this chevron nail art design. Start by painting your nails with a base color.
I am using a holographic silver. This is Orly’s Mirrorball. Hands down one of my favorite
polishes. It’s super pretty. To create the chevrons I am using a super
thin brush with medium length bristles. This brush did not start out looking like this.
I cut off a lot of the bristles. You can do the same thing. If you find a brush that is
really thick, just cut off a lot of the bristles and voila! You have a very thin brush. Trust
me, you do not have to spend a lot of money on brushes. Find some super cheap ones from
a craft store or Ebay and cut them to your liking. Think of the chevron pattern as being
really wide Vs repeated across your nails. Start by making a few sets of Vs vertically
and then worry about extending them across the width of your nails. Once you have a few
rows done it makes it really easy to follow the pattern. You can use any colors that you
want, but I decided to use white and a periwinkle color. The white is acrylic paint and the
periwinkle is Fade Into Hue by China Glaze. For this pattern I tried keeping the lines
as thin as possible and also as close together as I could. Alternate the chevron colors however
you want. I liked to do a group of white and then throw in a periwinkle. Or I would do
a group of periwinkle, a group of white, etc. Do whatever you’d like. When you are finished with all of your chevrons,
you can apply your favorite top coat. I am using the Gel-Like top coat from Lauren B.
Beauty. I hope you guys enjoyed the design and the
video. If you did, don’t forget to give it a thumbs up. Also, if you are new to my channel
