Basic Latte Art Tutorial – Part 5: How to make a heart

Hi, this is Michael from Barista Next Door and today I am going to show you how to pour a latte art heart We have already learned how to do our basic ingredients like how to extract an espresso shot and how to froth milk. And now it is time to learn how to pour all these beautiful patterns The heart is the most easy pattern of them all and with a bit of practice you will be able to pour it in no time. We will start off with pouring the milk from the jug at a medium height. And while we are doing that we will move the jug around a bit to loosen up the crema. After a few seconds we will lower the jug to start to create a wide circle of milk in the middle of the cup. When the cup is nearly full we will raise the jug again and simultaneously we will cut off the milk flow and we will move the jug forward to transform the white circle of milk into a beautiful heart. This is how easy it is to pour a latte art heart and really everybody can do it. I hope you’ll enjoy practicing and I’ll see you soon!
