Welcome back, it’s that time of year again
for the Christmas Ornament Woodturning Challenge. This is our fourth annual. That’s great.
And the whole purpose of this is to… Have fun. Have fun and enjoy the Christmas season
in woodturning, right. Woodturning. Yes. So, this is the fourth time we’ve sponsored
this challenge. You should know some of the rules by now. They will be on the web page.
We’ll put the URL below. One thing in terms of submission that will be different this
year, is. We had a lot last year and we had to struggle to keep up with it. So, this time,
we’ve got a form on a web page. That is the route to submit a video. Put the video
on your YouTube channel, then give us the link to the video there and we’ll do the
rest. But. That’s the one way. Make sure you get a confirmation. Don’t just email
Carl or myself, put it on the form so we can handle it. The URL is below in the description.
We’re going to have enough work to do in the judging. How did that go last year, Carl?
Wow! Wow! It was hard work. It was and we had almost 140 entries. Yes. It was great.
It was nice. So we have prizes this year from Easy Wood
Tools, Craft Supplies USA, Pony Clamps. Okay and the other one was. Chefware Kits. Last
but not least, right? Right. Okay, and we’re working on more. We’ll see if we can get
some others to join in the fun. So, in the end, submit your ornament. It needs
to be your current work. And there are rules. But, your current work. Do it now. And, get
it done before November 30. November 30th. That’s the cut off date – no exceptions
on that. It’s hard enough to judge this challenge as it is. So we have to enforce
at least that rule. And, what else do we need to know.
Have fun. Use your ornament well. We don’t have a requirement for you to give it to a
particular charity. We tried, but that did not work out. So use it as you see fit. And have fun.
That’s about it…
