Hello, this is Ohhyungjjang. I’ve prepared a special intro. There is a special day in March, “Water Day” I hope people will really be mindful about saving water. I actually have nothing to say, so I just said the first thing I saw on the calender. Actually, I got a 3D pen! So I will try drawing a trash-tier character. This is my 16th year playing DnF, and I’ve made tier lists this whole time, but I’ve never once drawn a trash-tier character. That’s why I prepared by buying the materials and pen, plus paid 50 dollars to my younger sibling so that they’d film the whole thing. I have finished preparations. It’s now time to pull out the most important: the reference image. It’s important to pick the correct character for this. So I chose who everyone, all 4,497 people, voted for last month to be last. Just looking at the design, it would be difficult for an amateur like me to draw it, no? But I am just tracing over the reference image so it’s not that bad. Here, I am done (laughing)

the bottom 20 classes! That’s who we’re looking at today 61: Elven Knight (-) How to make Dungeon and Fighter fun in new, novel ways? What if you had to play with a mouse? From that question came Creator. What if every Slayer’s skills was comboed back to back? And thus from the ashes of Gotham came Dark Knight. What if a mechanic revolved around a rhythm game? That question was the Harbinger of Life to Gaia. Back then, it’s not like endgame was balanced around raids, instead it was literally about disabling enemy patterns so when you could disable Bakal’s breath like this? Wow, this class is so ridiculously good. That era is over. EK’s super armor helped plant her in place while continuously pulling out her combos, is really just a gesture at this point, since there’s so many patterns that CC through super armor, and Chain Rush, which was huge potential for fast, high burst damage thanks to the raw animation cancel, and now Chain Rush is just mandatory pre-heating before any damage skills. Between the increasing difficulty of bosses and the increasing penalties on gear itself, so the built-in penalties of Gaia’s kit is just making it so vastly difficult to perform optimally right now. Add in the fact she was excluded from balance patches, her talismans are blegh, and her 3A seems so far away, and right now, given her damage with chain rush suffers from the greatest damage falloff, her lack of realistic damage in raids means her rank falls alongside that. They’re not going to fix Chain Rush on EK, and 3A is going to come out way later right? I hope they make her 3A art really pretty at least. 60: Skirmisher (-) Since last month, this class has become bot 2. Was there a time he ever got near the top 20? Surprisingly, yes. When he was really strong!
(the blue text says: not actually ever #1) The buff during luke era made him really powerful, but players of other nerfed classes couldn’t take it, and Durandal had to pay his ‘Du’s and those glory days were gone. This class has just a really well-rounded kit, with holding, mob gathering, and short channeling, with his mirage kit allowing him a great way to dish out his damage, while Long Lance mastery’s 13% innate cdr allows for great access to sustained damage. But then you have to deal with the spear tip penalty. While you are so busy constantly casting skills, you need to keep re-positioning yourself to line up that small hitbox and that leads to a pretty decent damage falloff potential. It’s easy to just say, oh a lot of classes have this kind of mechanic built in, but if you do everything and hit your combo perfectly, you just lose to other good pure no-conditional pure dps, so he’s Du-ne for. No matter how well designed the kit is, if the damage sucks, it’s doing more work for less. That is what this class shows. I hope there’s good news for this poor class soon. 59: Pathfinder (-1) The garbage tier characters could make up the trio of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei (T/N: see the Romance of the Three Kingdoms) Liu Bei would be Gaia, with the incredible Rhythm Game, Guan Yu would be Du, busy as all hell jumping around while lining up his skills, so Zhang Fei would be Specialist, right? That means he would have to boast a powerful presence, and he does, at least when it comes to his cooldowns and downtime. His damage sucks. Other classes just toss down their awakenings and then move onto the next skill, but Specialist has to worry if the enemy will run out of his 2A, and has to keep a finger on C the whole time, and all 10 fingers are used during 1A to pray the skill will hit. No intension? Using animation cancel? Goodbye damage. Full channel? Oh, the boss shifted away. Hello tears. The channeling is severe and his speed is just so slow, This class is just eternally stuck in place. “So Ohhyungjjang-nim, if he just had Ghost Liberation, he’d be fixed, right?” Pew, pew, get that garbage out of here. His naturally high cooldowns alongside the cooldown increase of Core Blade means so when you get through all those long animations, you have nothing off cooldown. It’s slow burst, and then nothing else. This is why this class is one of the lowest population classes. His long animations and long cooldowns really kills the fact he’s a synergy holder, and out of sheer frustration, this class falls yet another rank this month. 58: Summoner (-1) The reason Summoner is down here has only DnF to blame. This class was designed to cover the screen with a bunch of animations, so the DnF client instability not being fixed? Rest in peace. 100 cap introduced a bunch of lag, instability, and game crashes. There are classes that are notable for causing these issues, but Summoner is top-tier for that. Other classes just cast one buff and done, but Summoner? Loop into summons into awakenings, and she, by herself, can cause the lag of a boss-room and get into a boss room and start doing damage? Summoner just desummoned a party member. Summoner holds the power of the dark Apostles in her hands, so is she at least strong enough to risk it? That’s not it either. When other classes can be super efficient with cooldown reduction, Summoner’s automatic damage benefits not-at-all from cooldown reduction (T/N She can’t even use Sky Prey gear because it doesn’t affect communions) and when other classes can use on-hit effects, Summoner has to whip her summons to hope it procs, so she cries for the old days. Performance? Meta? Balance Patches? These are nothing when it comes to the problem of lag and client stability. This kind of in-party issue isn’t going to be fixed soon, otherwise it would have been. So neople, take your time, really polish her 3A around these issues, so combining summoner with her summons? Have her summons combine into a big summon? Anything’s fine so just… fix this issue, please? (Sorry but that’s impossible) 57: Warlord (-5) Out of the lancers, this class is the one that boasts incredible ease of gameplay alongside very satisfactory skills. His AoEs are huge, his kit has holding, and impact smash lets you cancel out of skills, and contrary to his bursty nature, his sustained damage is actually quite nice, and impact smash is definitely quite good for sustained damage, so this class must be decent right? Actually spend time looking into the class, and there’s no actual upsides to this class. Being a burst class? But his burst is meh. So playing around sustained damage? But that’s not great either. It’s like being unable to eat a bird, nor harvest its eggs (can’t have a cake and eat it too) and honestly this is pretty consistent through most of the Lancers and Agents since launch. They came out with just kind of average performance, so it’s not like it was that great, nor was it that bad, rather just forgettable. Compare it to the launch of Ghostblade or Fslayer, and oof. It’s just night and day. This kind of mediocrity is such a severe issue because it’s not bad enough for any of them to have been fixed since then until now, and it’ll most likely continue that way. There’s just no players, no interest, no popularity, and compared to really popular classes? Getting a balance patch or 3A before one of these just seems incredibly unlikely. If you look at that Halberd that gives way more access to Impact Smash, I think it’ll never come as a patch, and so his future looks pretty dark. The historically mediocre class, Warlord. Even if unpopular, even if no one seems to care, I do wish that he can show his potential. 56: Battle Mage (+3) In the recent months, the quad squad of Durandal, Specialist, Summoner, and Vangard all dropped, and Battle Mage rose on top. So… Is she good? No. Is she god awful? No. She’s just… Beh, to summarize it in one word. When other classes are scrapping to find crit chance, she can pick stuff like Contract: Road to Hell easily, Speed reduction gear? Not a problem. 100+% movement speed for full damage modifiers? Done. 100+% movement speed for full damage modifiers? Done. While the damage of Annihilator’s crit Full Swing is crazy, if it procs. Gear is honestly quite nice to Battle Mage in 100 cap, so why rank 56? Cause… Beh. (What nonsense are you spouting?) At the end of the day, Battle Mage is about a lot of low level skills and x-string, and without Apostilize, her low x-string range and chaser spam needs to connect while weaving in constant skill spam. Even if Punto Wave and Full swing can just be put in casually alongside canceling the animation, EX Punto, Apostle Dance, and Dragon Assault are in-place channeling skills, meaning you really have to time them or the enemy can just run out of it. To conclude, x-string and chasers take up a large portion of her damage, and that causes a lot of her inherent skill damage to be on the low side. It’s like if Ghostblade and 3A characters was a PS4, Battle Mage is a PS2, so no matter how well the meta fits her, no one will really ever notice. Still given that she’s been able to get here from last place all the time, I have tears of joy that she’s above 5 entire classes now. 55: Troubleshooter (-1) Back in Luke Era, being a physical holder while having a rewarding kit meant great things, and given Secret Agent is a pure dps, a lot of people banked on Troubleshooter being valuable in the future, and so Troubleshooter mains? Don’t invest in stocks or bitcoin. I won’t do it myself! Synergies were all the rage back before the synergy adjustment patch brought value back to pure dps, and now that both pure dps and synergy has to bring damage, and all he has left is long animation times, long cooldowns, and high reliance on aspd. Given he’s also low on inherent crit chance, if he wants to get hold of aspd? Finding the right setting that accommodates both is difficult. His weapon, Atomic Pile?
15% proc on skill cast. Jejudo can have an Atomic Pile of Smash, if you know what I mean. The era when synergies were endangered species and got into any raid they wanted was short, meanwhile his long animations meant he was trash during Fiend War era prior. Unless he gets something on the level of Kalla or Ghost Liberation, this class will always be in the bottom tiers. 54: Swiftmaster (+1) The new terranium in 100 cap, Aiolite, pushes to assert its dominance over the less popular Aiolos. Still, I think this class is a lot more okay than this rank would reflect. His AoEs are quite large and his mob gathering is pretty nice, but as a god of wind, his mobility is where he really shines. His natural cooldown reduction makes him a fun character for a bunch of people, and in PvP his high damage combos means he’s really godlike there. These all say amazing things for Aiolos. There’s just one teeeeeny downside though. When it comes to raiding… his damage is weak. (Say something that makes sense!) Sorry, but it’s true. In the other world that is PvP, he can get out of Stuck easily, his combos are top-tier in terms of damage, but put in the same amount of effort in raids and he’s like the gentle spring wind. It’s very unfortunate. Perhaps because this class has been identified with farming for so long, his performance has kept falling behind, oh the poor Aiolite. Sorry, Aiolos. Kek. When the warm spring winds come, I hope there will be good news. 53: Kuno (-17) After a drop of 11 ranks last month, a total of -28 is… unbelievable. There’s just not as easy access to levels + cooldowns like with CDR and skill levels, but you can achieve similar status by swapping between Eternal Flow armor and Crack of Dawn accs, so surely the gear change can’t be why she nosedived down here… right? Once again, it’s a client issue. Naturally, the three apostles of framedrop are Summy, Kuno, and MMech. Mmech mostly just causes it during 2A, so it’s not… so bad, Summoner keeps up her summons through the whole fight, much unlike Hailom’s summon duration, while Kuno is Deidara, destroyer of PCs, every CoE cycle. These two are the Messi and Ronaldo of lag and framedrop. There’s the 100 Chakra Weapon, Powder Train, and if the 25% buff keeps proccing while doing huge skill combos, then each of those stacks also boost the chance of Caloso appearing. Cycles of Eternity’s noticable horrible frame drop, unless this ever gets fixed, you can say goodbye to Kunoichi’s rank. All she wanted was a moment of happiness, yet why can’t she be happy? Please fix the framedrops, Neople!!! 52: Hitman (+4) The surprising shift in identity in 2019, the speed synergy’d. After that, another balance patch and great talismans, normally, a class would skyrocket with this kind of care, but Hitman’s just still here. There’s the saying, the empty cart is the loudest? (T/N similar would be ‘A barking dog is not a good hunter’) That’s hitman. The guns go tutututututu, so the damage must be great? What damage? He throws everything all which way and gots ratatatat so he must be difficult, but it’s all just channeled skills so there’s nothing you even really need to do. Sure, he’s a speed synergy like Fnen and Palla, but those classes offered more than just speed. His kit was designed to do damage, but the damage just isn’t there. I can only really say one name for a class like this: a piece of shit And to match that, they created a piece of shit item set that Hitman can use in 100 cap: the Arin’s Tragedy set, just a perfect fit for him (multi hit for % current hp shred) since the one thing he’s good at is multihit, kyahahahaha (クソ野郎) Low damage and no utility for a synergy, alongside the sometimes poor skill flow and low channeling, Hitman keeps staying in the bottom 20 due to his underwhelming performance. 51: Dragoon (-1) Out of the classes that use spears, this is the okay one. Is that a compliment? Or a back-handed compliment? I’m not sure. He was definitely notably good in Fiend War, Spear Tip? Rhythm Game? Chasers? Channeling? He didn’t have any of these issues, and just ASDFG’d his way to good performance. He’s just not difficult to perform on. His previously severe mob moving has been adjusted a lot, because this class is heavily reliant on aspd, they mitigated the problem with a beam spear that grants up to 20% attack speed to cover that. Getting cooldown reduction alongside speed isn’t all that difficult in 100 cap, but ultimately Lancer is still a class made by that director. When will Lancer finally get his 3A…? Gunners, Priests, Mages, Thief, there’s so many classes older than Lancer who are on the waiting list, so would he even get it in 2020…? His performance is mid-tier at best, and without a sight of 3A soon, I hope there’s some good news that can change the dark future of Dragoon. 50: Elementalist (-8) High cooldown reduction, tons of installs, this fall of what used to be Neople’s daughter is ironically due to Neople’s patches. I don’t even need to mention the curtain and quake talismans, the Black Hole talisman does reduce channeling, but… baby amounts of it. If you watch the Halloween Buster and Thunder Strike talisman, you really cry. They must have had Oculus in mind beforehand, right? As they reduce the animation time for so many classes, how could they extend the animation time for Overmind? To this extent? You wouldn’t even treat a stepdaughter this way. Curtain, Arctic, Crystal, Black Hole, alongside Halloween Buster and Lightning Strike talismans so much of these you have to either pray that you don’t get interrupted, or the enemy doesn’t just leave. At least her illustration has survived after the 2A art incident, but her perfomance hasn’t been able to stay alive. So when 3A comes, surely this might be turned on its head… If they give back Flame Void Volcano??? (I’ll curse you!!!!!) 49: M Spit (+4) This class is the opposite of Overmind. He does have installs, but pretty much no channeling. His no-cooldown constant-damage x-string is outstanding, while Firearm Mastery’s cooldown reduction in combination with the easy gameplay is amazing, all of these are really great, at least in the context of the previous meta, but it’s not really the case in the current meta. His skills are on the weak side because his x-string is strong. He can get the same cooldown gear or the same leveling gear, but his damage increase is just weaker. Right now in endgame, it’s really just about how well you can burst quickly, so how is Mspit supposed to compete? If cooldown reduction or x-string damage skyrockets in Sirocco Raid, maybe? Based off the patches up to now, that seems unlikely. Because people play Male Spit for the x-string, it seems quite unlikely they’d nerf x-string for more skill damage in large amounts, and so he’s just middling in performance and low in rank. His x-string reliance is really just a downside right now, so I really hope 3A is designed to overturn the issue on its head. To put it simply, Neople do a good job>.
