Behn & Wyetzner and TAF

The attorneys at Behn & Wyetzner, Chartered have broadened their efforts to stem fraud against the government by supporting the Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund ("TAF"). TAF educates the public about the False Claims Act and its qui tam provisions.

Since 2001, Michael Behn has led TAF education panels on investigating False Claims Act cases, developing multi-state fraud prosecutions, working cooperatively with government prosecutors, and numerous other subjects.

In 2005, Mr. Behn was named TAF's first Whistleblowers' "Lawyer of the Year." The group commended Mr. Behn’s "tenacity, management skills and dedication" in his representation of relators under the False Claims Act. Mr. Behn also represented Taxpayers Against Fraud, as well as the American Association of Retired Persons ("AARP"), in successfully defending the constitutionality of the Illinois Whistleblower Reward and Protection Act before the Illinois Supreme Court.
